Creative, rhythm-led tap classes for young people, focused on musicality, confidence and self-expression.

We’re excited to be launching the next phase of the Sole Rebel Youth Company, in partnership with LIPA Sixth Form College and MPAC, for young people aged 11–18 years

A free, funded 12-week tap programme for young people to develop their skills, explore their creativity and dance together.

The programme runs weekly from Wednesday 23rd September to Wednesday 9th December, culminating in our Christmas Sharing at Invisible Wind Factory on Saturday 12th December, 3–5pm.

Weekly classes

Our classes bring together rhythm, music, history and improvisation in a fun, supportive environment. We encourage every dancer to share ideas, try new things and find their own voice.

Throughout the programme, participants will:

  • Develop tap technique, coordination and musicality
  • Explore improvisation and create their own rhythms
  • Discover tap’s Black roots, history and culture
  • Dance with live musicians
  • Create and rehearse material to share with an audience
  • Connect with the wider Sole Rebel community

Free places for everyone

We want cost to be no barrier to taking part. All places are free, with the option to choose a supporter ticket and make a voluntary contribution towards our free youth and outreach programme.

Every ticket option reserves the same full 12-week place, with the same opportunities and support.
